Police commission wants to know how safe you feel

The Calgary Police Commission – the civilian led board, which monitors the police service and helps shape its strategies – wants to know what you think about policing in Calgary.

Commissioner Steve Edwards said they are spending roughly $55,000 dollars to carry out a phone survey of 1,000 Calgarians next month.

“Do they feel safe in their community, how do they feel about responses from the police, do they feel the police are addressing issues of concern to them?” he said.

This is the second year the commission is carrying out the survey, after taking it over from the police service.
