Police find marijuana, handgun in Sylvia Avenue apartment

Police got more than they bargained for when they investigated a drug-use complaint at a Sylvia Avenue apartment Sunday night.

When they got to the home at 10:20 p.m., they found marijuana in the living room and a handgun in the kitchen.

A 29-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance, skipping court, breaching probation and possessing a restricted weapon.
