Police are on the lookout for a bank robber they call the “the Ampersand Bandit.”
The man got his unique nickname from the lone “&” symbol on the back of his jacket. He’s being described by police as a white or Hispanic male approximately 35 years old and 5’11’’ in height.
Around noon on Tuesday the man entered a bank on Jasper Avenue and 100 Street. He passed a note to the teller demanding cash then fled on foot after being given an undetermined of money.
At this time the robber has not been linked to any other robberies.
