Vancouver police have identified the man who was found shot to death in East Vancouver on Saturday night as 24-year-old David Banh from Vancouver.
Banh was found slumped over in the driver’s side seat of a white SUV in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Bentall Street around 11:40 p.m.
He was not known to police.
“We do believe this is a targeted shooting and there’s still no definitive gang links,” Const. Jana McGuinness said. “The investigation is continuing.”
This is Vancouver’s 11th homicide in 2009.
