Police investigate fired shots

Police are investigating two separate incidents of shots being fired at the same residence in the Thorncrest Court area of Eastern Passage.

Police are investigating two separate incidents of shots being fired at the same residence in the Thorncrest Court area of Eastern Passage.

On Tuesday, the owner of the residence heard a noise outside his truck. When he opened his door, a youth was standing on his step, pointing what the owner believed to be a cap gun at the owner’s dog and a shot was fired, said Cpl. Scott MacRae.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with three others.

On Thursday, the owner told RCMP he returned home to find bullet holes in his house and a neighbour’s car, leading the witness and police to believe the first incident involved a real gun, said MacRae.

The man and youth are not known to each other, MacRae said.
