A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in connection with an arson that gutted a Surrey condo development last October.
Police are recommending 24 charges against the suspect, who is expected to be named today.
The 1,100-unit mixed residential and commercial Quattro development was expected to help revitalize Surrey.
On Oct. 1, 2008, one of the two buildings was destroyed in what police called a suspicious fire. The second building was also damaged.
No one was injured in the blaze, but several firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
