Police lay charge in fatal Edmonton motorcycle crash

The 20-year-old male rider died at the scene on July 13

 

The driver of a motorcycle involved in a fatal collision earlier this month has been charged.

 


 


 



The driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing death stemming from the incident near 178 Street and 96
Avenue on July 13.

At about 7 p.m., Edmonton police say a motorcycle with two
riders was seen driving erratically and at a high rate of speed on 178 Street when the driver lost control and struck a curb
just south of 96 Avenue.

The motorcycle mounted the curb and struck two
trees.

A 20-year-old male rider died at the scene
and the driver was taken to the
hospital with serious injuries.
