Police look into possible attempted abduction at Ottawa daycare

A<font size="3" face="Times New Roman"> man tried to go into the daycare, saying he had permission from the parents to pick up their six-year-old girl.</font>

 

Police are investigating what may have been an attempted abduction at an Ottawa daycare centre.

 

The Ottawa Police Service says the incident happened in the
Fallingbrook area of Ottawa around midday on Friday.

 

 

A police statement says a man tried to go into the daycare, saying he had permission
from the parents to pick up their six-year-old girl.

He was denied entry. When he insisted, the door was closed on him and he left the
area.


The man is
described as a w
hite,
aged 40-45 years, 5’8”-5’10”, blond, short dark hair, wearing
prescription glasses with dark-coloured thick frames, dark-coloured
zippered jacket, dark brown or black leather gloves and dark blue jeans.

He was English speaking with no discernible accent.

He may have an injury
to one of his hands.
