Halifax Regional Police were interviewing a male suspect yesterday in regards to an alleged abduction from late Monday night.

Police say a 29-year-old woman knocked on the door of a home in the 2000 block of Old Sambro Road just before 11 a.m. asking for help.

The victim, according to police, alleges she was with a man who took her to a secluded area and held her against her will.

Police say the victim managed to get free, with the homeowner contacting police after she arrived.

Spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said the victim sustained injuries, but couldn’t say if they were from the alleged abduction.

He also said he doesn’t believe she was sexually assaulted or that she knew who the alleged abductor was.
