Halifax Regional Police were trying to track down a bank robber yesterday.

A man allegedly walked into the Credit Union at 380 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth just after 1:20 p.m., police said.

He demanded staff hand over cash and then took off from the Woodside-area bank with what police call “an undisclosed amount” of money.

Police said no one was injured, adding witnesses described the suspect as a man who is about five feet, ten inches tall. He was reportedly wearing blue pants, a grey hoodie and a mask when the offence occurred.

Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said officers hadn’t made any arrests as of yesterday evening. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 490-5016.
