Ottawa police are investigating a kidnapping and theft of a tractor-trailer after a driver was accosted in his vehicle Tuesday morning.

Shortly after midnight, a driver was accosted in his tractor-trailer while in the parking lot at the LCBO just south of Bank Street and Walkley Road.

The truck contained products for the LCBO, said Sgt. Michael Haarbosch with the Ottawa police robbery unit.

Police said two males restrained the driver and later left the parking lot with the driver in the tractor-trailer.

The driver was later found uninjured in the area of Vaudreuil, Quebec along with the tractor. The trailer has yet to be located.

Police did not release a description of the suspects, but said more information may be available Tuesday afternoon.
