A blood-spattered hallway greeted residents of a southeast apartment complex yesterday morning after an apparent homicide the night before.
While police won’t confirm it’s a homicide until an autopsy is completed today, blood trails could be seen down the hall and stairs of the two-storey apartment complex in the 1200 block of Macleod Trail.
Police were called to the scene the night before, just after 11 p.m. for an assault.
“I was woken by the police, but I didn’t hear anything,” apartment resident Narjit Nagra said.
There’s blood all over the hallway. I don’t know what to say.”
Nagra and business employees below the apartments said they believe the victim was known as “Glen,” a guy they described as in his 40s and quiet.
“But he always had people coming in and they were smoking something,” Nagra added.
Business employee Jeff Sully said the area is full of drug addicts and was upset to hear about the death so close to his work.
