Police release photo of bracelet in botched online exchange

Ottawa police have released a photo of a bracelet believed to be stolen after a 31-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday night.

Police said a woman who offered jewelry for sale online was injured after being thrown from or dragged by a car after meeting with a prospective buyer in Orleans.

Shortly after 9 p.m., city police responded to a 9-1-1 call for a report of a woman being dragged by a vehicle on Plainhill Drive. The woman, who suffered including skull fractures and facial injuries, is now in stable condition in hospital.

Police are looking at the woman’s computer and cell phone records and are seeking any information pertaining to a white or silver sports car that may have new body or windshield damages sustained since Monday night.
