Police release sketch of Banff sexual assault suspect

Police said the victim was walking alongSquirrel Street in a residential area when she was assaulted

 

Banff RCMP
have released a sketch of a suspect in the sexual assault of
a woman over the weekend.

 

Police said the victim was walking along
Squirrel Street in a residential area when she was assaulted around
2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

 

The suspect beat the victim, in her 20s, in
the face and head before sexually assaulting her.

 

The suspect is
described as a Caucasian man, 5' 7'' tall, between 23 to 28 years old
with a stocky build and short crew-cut hair.

Police believe the victim
was also able to scratch the offender and he may have visible marks on
his face.
