Police say 17-year-old linked to two stolen vehicles

A 17-year-old male youth is facing several charges in relation to the stealing of two vehicles.

A 17-year-old male youth is facing several charges in relation to the stealing of two vehicles.

Halifax Regional Police say the thefts took place about six weeks apart.

The first was on Oct. 8 in Halifax, police say, and the second on Nov. 23 in Dartmouth.

The youth was arrested on Tuesday night in relation to an outstanding warrant.

Police claim they have been able to link him to the two stolen vehicles.

The male was scheduled to appear in Halifax youth court yesterday.

He is charged with theft, possession of stolen property and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
