A teenager was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, after he was shot in a notorious neighbourhood known for its crime.
Police say the17-year-old male was waiting at a bus stop near 118 Avenue and 93 Street shortly before 7 p.m. when he was approached by two people, including one person the teen knew well.
Words were exchanged and then two shots were fired, with one bullet striking a man’s leg, police said.
“The victim has not been forthcoming with police,” said police spokeswoman Patricia Thenu.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
