A 22-year-old man who police say reached speeds as high as 181 kilometres per hour is facing a charge of stunting under the province’s motor vehicle act.

Halifax RCMP said they stopped the man for exceeding the posted speed limit while driving eastbound on Highway 103 near Exit 2 on Sunday.

Police say the driver’s speeds ranged between 165 and 181 km/h.

The minimum fine for a first offence for stunting is $2,400.
