Ottawa police are investigating after a six-year-old girl was
apparently grabbed by a stranger while she played outside in the city's
Police say the girl had been playing with friends
in the Murray Street area on Saturday evening, when family noticed she
was late returning home.

Police say a family friend went out to look for the girl, and allegedly saw an unknown male holding her tight to his chest.
When the family friend approached the man, police say he immediately put the child down and ran away.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s who is about five-feet-10 or five-feet-11 inches tall.
He has a shaved head and a stocky build and was wearing a dark green sweater and a pair of jeans at the time of the incident.
