Police searching for robbery suspect

City cops are asking for the public’s help in catching a man who held up three banks all within the last week.

Police allege the suspect was responsible for a robbery at a TD Bank near Groat Road and 112 Avenue just before 8 p.m. last Friday and another TD bank on 11 Avenue and 163 Street around 11 a.m. the next morning.

The most recent robbery happened around 1:15 p.m. on Monday at an Alberta Treasury Branch near 155 Street and Stony Plain Road.

Police say in all three robberies, the suspect allegedly entered the bank and passed a note to the teller explaining he had a gun and was demanding cash.

The suspect is described as a white, five-foot-eight to six-foot-tall male between 35 and 45 years old.

He is described as wearing black-framed glasses, and police believe he shaved off his goatee between the second and third robberies.
Police have also released surveillance pictures of the suspect.
