Calgary Police are after a man who allegedly followed an employee into a southeast Calgary bank during a robbery early Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect, wearing blue coveralls, a white hard hat, black ski mask and dark boots at the time, entered the TD Canada Trust in the 3000 block of 17 Ave SE at around 7:20 a.m. Saturday, when a staff member opened the door.

According to police, the suspect then showed a gun and told bank staff that it was a robbery – forcing staff members to open a vault inside the bank, where he allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled the scene.

Police believe a second person may have been waiting outside the building.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police are looking for a Caucasian male, six-foot tall and 180 lbs.
