Police seek driver involved in fatal hit-and-run with motorcycle

Police have released photographs of a vehicle of interest in hopes the public can assist in an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run collision last month.

At 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 27, a motorcycle and a car collided in the area of Richmond Road and High Street. The 44-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at hospital.

Ottawa police said Thursday they have obtained surveillance footage from a nearby residential unit, and that collision investigators believe the footage shows a vehicle of interest.

Police said they are interested in speaking with the owner or driver of this vehicle as they may have valuable information relating to this incident.

The vehicle is described as a light silver or grey four-door vehicle believed to be an Acura 3.2 TL. The vehicle may have dents or damage in the area of the lower, right-side passenger doors.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call the Ottawa Police collision investigation unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
