Edmonton police are asking the public’s help in trying to identify a suspect who was involved in a string of muggings across the city.
All of the robberies involved some degree of violence and the suspect is believed to be responsible for at least four, including one that most recently occurred Thursday morning at a TD Bank machine near 165 Avenue and 97 Street, said police.
In all of the cases, a man would approach his victims from behind and then threaten them with a knife while demanding that they hand over all of their cash, police said.
Police say in some cases, a victim’s PIN was demanded and their debit or credit card would be taken with money being later withdrawn from their accounts.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect.
