Police seek help in finding person of interest

Edmonton Police say they need the public’s help in locating a person of interest related to the stabbing-death of a 20-year-old man near a downtown park on 105 St. near Jasper Ave.





Edward Bone was murdered at the park next to the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel July 31.





Police have released a photograph of the person investigators are looking for who they believe was near the scene when the stabbing took place.





“Detectives have had several tips come in since the incident and they are continuing to follow up on those leads,” said police spokeswoman Karen Carlson.





“It is hoped that someone will be able to identify this person of interest so the officers can speak to him and gather information about the incident.





Police say a hit and run near 106 St. on Jasper Ave. may be linked to the vicious attack.
