Ottawa police are investigating a suspicious incident in the city’s west end after a man allegedly offered a young girl a ride.
At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, a 12-year-old girl was walking southbound on Greenbank Road between Monterey Drive and Harrison Street when an unfamiliar male driving an older model vehicle stopped and offered her a ride home.
The girl refused and walked to a nearby bus stop, where she saw the same vehicle drive by several times, police said.
Police are seeking an English-speaking, unshaven white male, 30 to 40 years old, wearing a brown hat and a beige jacket, and an older-model beige four-door vehicle with a dark interior.
