Police seek owner of abandoned stroller after child allegedly taken

Calgary Police are looking for the owner of an abandoned stroller outside a northeast restaurant after reports an employee allegedly saw a child taken from the site.

Police responded to a restaurant on Castleridge Blvd. NE at around 6 a.m.

Monday and immediately began canvassing the area to find the owner of the stroller or more information surrounding the child removed from the stroller.

At this point, police said no stroller owner has been identified and no one has come forward to report a missing child to police.

The stroller is a Euro Graco, blue with blue and brown plaid design, police said.

The man alleged to have approached the stroller is described as possibly black, about 30-years-old, about 5-2, with a medium build and black hair.

Police said the witness indicated the suspect was wearing a dark hoodie and black pants.

More information is expected after police meet with media.
