A vehicle stolen in an alleged carjacking was recovered near an old recycling depot Sunday night.
Police said two young men were getting into their 2005 Chevy Suburban in Westphal at around 5 p.m. They were trying to lock the doors when a man pulled one of the men out of the vehicle and stole his gold chain. The other alleged victim was trying to get in the SUV when two other men confronted him.
One of the suspects took off in the Suburban, heading east on Highway 7. The other two men left the scene in a red Cherokee.
The RCMP contacted OnStar and the vehicle was tracked to an old recycling depot off Whynder Road.
The vehicle was undamaged. The RCMP are trying to track down the suspects and are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
