Police are issuing a high risk offender warning who was released from prison to the Calgary area on Tuesday and allegedly failed to comply with the conditions of his release.
Police say Dean Robert Zimmerman, 44, served a three-year, four-month federal prison sentence for sexual assault with a weapon and forcible confinement. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for breaching his conditions. Zimmerman was to stay at an approved location and police say he wasn’t there when they did a check-in early Wednesday morning, therefore breaching his conditions.
Police are warning the public Zimmerman has a history of violently, sexually assaulting adult women.
He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head. He is 5-8 tall and 205 pounds.
