Police are warning the public about a violent sexual offender recently released from prison.
Jamie Harrington White, 35, was released from the Edmonton Remand Centre April 15, after completing a sentence for a long list of violent crimes, including assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
His rap sheet includes a number of sexual assault convictions, and is considered a significant risk to the community.
He’s described as Caucasian, five-foot-nine, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Police believe it is in public interest to warn residents he plans to live in the Edmonton area. Officials stress the warning was issued so citizens can take precautionary measures, not to encourage vigilante justice.
