Campsites near Banff are vacant now, but by this weekend it will be a different story.
The upcoming long weekend is the unofficial start of summer ,and for some it’s an official excuse to party.
“It seems like everybody needs to get that out of their system from being pent up all winter long and have to come out and have a good time,” said conservation officer Pat Ronald.
For those planning on having too much of a good time, law enforcement officials will be inviting themselves to the party.
“Most of our manpower will be on the roads this long weekend, and every long weekend during the season,” said Alberta Highway Patrol Sheriff Sgt. Bill Martin.
