Ivanka Trump’s life in the spotlight

Ivanka Trump is the daughter of President Donald Trump and his first ex-wife, former model Ivana Trump. She is a top advisor to her father and a fourth-generation businessperson — her great-grandmother Elizabeth Trump founded the Trump Organization.

Ivanka Marie Trump went to school at Chapin School in Manhattan until she was 15, when she transferred to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. She called life at boarding school like being in a “prison” while her “friends in New York were having fun.”

Ivanka Trump was a teen model and has graced the small screen.

While in boarding school, Ivanka began modeling “on weekends and holidays and absolutely not during the school year,” according to her mother. She was featured in advertisements for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, was the cover girl for the May 1997 issue of Seventeen and walked the runway for Versace, Marc Bouwer and Thierry Mugler.

In 1997, a 16-year-old Ivanka Trump co-hosted the Miss Teen USA Pageant, which was partially owned by her father.

She was featured on the cover of Stuff in August 2006 and again in September 2007. She placed 83rd in the 2007 Maxim Hot 100, 99 in the Top 99 Women of 2007 and then at 84 in the 2008 edition on AskMen.com.

Ivanka was also a featured guest-judge on Project Runway Season 3, appeared in three seasons of her father’s reality TV show The Apprentice and played herself (along with husband Jared Kushner) in an episode of Gossip Girls.

Ivanka Trump graduated cum laude.

After two years at Georgetown University, Ivanka transferred to the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2004. She is fluent in French and has some knowledge of her mother’s native tongue, Czech.

Before joining the Trump Organization as an executive vice president in 2005, Ivanka worked for real estate management and development company Forest City Realty Trust.

In 2007, she launched Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, a line of diamond and gold jewelry and still has her own line of clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories.

She publicly endorsed her father when he ran for president in 2016 and now holds a top position in his administration. Fun fact: Ivanka did not vote for her father. She missed the deadline to join the Republican party (she was registered as an independent).
