Bacon bullets: Can they deter Islamic terrorism?

ammo Have a look at one company’s proposed solution to Islamic terrorism.

A simple solution to Islamic terrorism has been proposed in the form of pork bullets. The Idaho-based company Jihawg Ammo is producing ammunition coated with paint made with pig derivatives, believing that fear of contact with the “unclean” animal will discourage terrorists. Keith, a spokesman at Jihawg Ammo, told us more.

How did you come up with this?

The idea started after hearing about plans for a mosque at Ground Zero, which we thought were inappropriate. We kept coming back to it over time and talking to people in the military, who said that on days when there were swine in the area there were no attacks by terrorists. We put two and two together and realized it’s a natural deterrent, a peaceful answer that saves the jihadist and the victims. It’s ammunition for peace.

What’s the recipe — is it bacon?

It’s traditional ballistic paint, but it took a year to figure out how to infuse it with pork. I can’t share exactly how we do it – trade secret – but it’s a compound of bone, meal and flesh all together.

Delicious. What reactions have you been getting?

Web traffic has gone crazy, and we’re selling 15,000 units a day. Wal-Mart thought they were cute, but we’re mainly selling to locals – they like that it goes against political correctness.

Are you not worried about encouraging anti-Islamic sentiment?

We can talk about radical Islam without being negative about Islam itself. Two of our group dropped out because they were worried — but if we’re attacked, that proves our point. We can’t live in fear.

Who are you guys and what motivates you?

The owner is a stay-at-home mom; the others are an electrician, a small-town mayor and a bus driver. It’s about love of firearms and our country, together with a genuine market solution.
