A Porter Airlines plane was grounded yesterday after colliding with a service vehicle at Halifax Stanfield International Airport on Sunday night.
Airport spokeswoman Ashley Barnes said Flight 259 was arriving from Ottawa just before 9 p.m. when a minor collision took place approaching Gate 14.
The accident resulted in the closing of the gate and “minor” operational impact at the airport.
A spokesperson with Porter Airlines said yesterday the plane’s nose cone and a propeller were damaged in the collision, although a cost estimate wasn’t known. Porter also said the plane is remaining grounded in Halifax until it’s repaired to fly.
