Portland defeats Spokane 3-2 in overtime

SPOKANE, Wash. – Brad Ross scored twice, including the winner in overtime, and set up one more as the Portland Winterhawks defeated the host Spokane Chiefs 3-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Cam Reid had chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Winterhawks (32-14-3).

Darren Kramer and Dylan Walchuk scored for the Chiefs (26-14-7), who lost for the first time in five outings.

Mac Carruth made 29 saves for the win while Eric Williams made 33 saves in defeat.

Portland went 0 for 3 on the power play as Spokane went 0 for 1.
