A chicken and turkey processing plant will be built in the Kentville Industrial Park.
The $46-million poultry processing plant is expected to be operational by the spring of 2012, the Nova Scotia poultry industry strategic planning committee and Maple Lodge Farms Holding Corp. announced.
It will process the chickens and turkeys from farmers in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
