Prince Edward ‘laid back,’ says hockey player

Prince Edward is “laid back” and “easy to talk to,” said a member of Canada’s national sledge hockey team who lunched with Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son Thursday.

Adam Dixon, 19, was among four members of Canada’s sledge team who presented the Earl of Wessex with a trio of Team Canada jerseys during a sledge demonstration at the University of B.C.

The jerseys had WESSEX written across the shoulders and were a gift for the prince and his two sons.

During the lunch that followed, Dixon said he had fun “eavesdropping” as the prince spoke with Premier Gordon Campbell about the London 2012 Olympic bid.
