Kellen McElwee’s girlfriend, who wouldn’t give her name, joins the missing man’s parents Len and Paula at the RCMP detachment in Burnaby yesterday.

Check for unusual cars outside your home, the family of Kellen McElwee appealed yesterday, as they continued to search for the vehicle the 25-year-old Burnaby man was driving when he went missing on Wednesday.

McElwee was last seen at a restaurant in Langley having dinner with some work friends. He was driving a four-door beige 2006 Honda Civic, licence plate number 959 HPB.

"Please take one minute and look out your front and back door," said Paula McElwee, Kellen’s mother, who was joined by her husband Len and Kellen’s girlfriend.

"Look out your balcony. If you are going out for dinner tonight, look in the restaurant parking lot. It’s really important that we find this vehicle."

Cpl. Alexandra Mulvihill of Burnaby RCMP called the 25-year-old’s disappearance "very unusual."

"He has no reason to have gone missing. He has a loving family, loving friends."

McElwee is five-foot-10 and 220 pounds. He has dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He wears his hair in a fauxhawk and has a large black and white dragon tattoo on his left shoulder.

He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black fitted shirt, jeans and a brown leather jacket.
