Pull over and get out of the way, emergency crews urge

It should be common sense to all drivers that when an emergency vehicle has its sirens and lights on, you move carefully out of the way.

Yet many drivers stop or speed up instead of pulling to the side of the road.

“When we need to get through, they need to pull over and get out of our way,” said Randy Shakura, Captain of Fire Station #1.

“With the heavy traffic volume we have in the city now we need to have people pay attention to what’s going on around them.”
