A puppy-punching car thief has been arrested in the Fraser Valley, RCMP said Wednesday.

A puppy-punching car thief has been arrested in the Fraser Valley, RCMP said Wednesday.

Mounties spotted the suspect in a stolen 2010 Ford Expedition parked in downtown Chilliwack on Tuesday afternoon.

During surveillance, members of the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT) claim they observed the 36-year-old male suspect repeatedly punching a young dog in the vehicle’s rear seat.

Numerous charges have been recommended against the man, who has outstanding warrants for his arrest in multiple Canadian jurisdictions. He is also under investigation for other stolen vehicles that have recently been recovered in the Chilliwack area.
