Randy Quaid will remain in Vancouver for at least another month as his lawyer sorts through mounds of paperwork, regarding whether the actor will be allowed to stay in Canada.
An Immigration and Refugee Board adjudicator yesterday set the actor’s next hearing for Dec. 22, with more hearings likely early next year.
“It’s not our first Christmas in Vancouver, but we’re looking forward to it,” said Quaid.
For now, he said, he’s “killing time.”
Quaid declined to comment on why he and his wife, Evi, gave up a total of $1 million in bail by failing to appear before a California court.
The couple has been accused of vandalism, including squatting in a house they used to own, according to The Los Angeles Times.
