Michel Villeneuve simply said “Bye-bye” in a message left on his employer’s answering machine.

Villeneuve, a 47-year-old father of two adult sons, had worked nights for 17 years at St. Vincent Hospital in Ottawa as a receptionist.

Villeneuve — who partied for two days after the win — says the windfall won’t change him, except make him a “little nicer.”
