MONTREAL - A Quebecer who filmed his seven-year-old son driving a car along a back road says he regrets the whole affair and is willing to face any legal consequences.

MONTREAL - A Quebecer who filmed his seven-year-old son driving a car along a back road says he regrets the whole affair and is willing to face any legal consequences.

The father gave an interview with veteran crime reporter Claude Poirier and said the incident occurred two years ago.

The man filmed the boy driving and then posted it on YouTube.

Quebec provincial police said Monday they have opened an investigation.

The man also said in the interview broadcast today he was only joking when he said the boy got the car up to 70 km/h.

He says the the vehicle never exceeded 40 km/h.
