The Halifax Rainmen will host the inaugural Premier Basketball League all-star game in April.

The team and the league made the announcement at a press conference at the World Trade and Convention Centre on Wednesday morning.

A date has not been set but it will take place after the PBL championship series.

It's not the first time the Rainmen have hosted an all-star game. Before the Rainmen ever played a game in Halifax, they hosted the American Basketball Association all-star game at the Metro Centre on Jan. 28, 2007, drawing about 2,500 fans.
