The Halifax Rainmen are holding a candle vigil on Tuesday in memory of the late John Strickland.
The outdoor memorial will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the Brunswick Street side of the Halifax Metro Centre, underneath the team banner featuring a photo of Strickland, a Rainmen fan favourite found dead in his New York City apartment on Oct. 7.
The team also announced Thursday Strickland will be honoured during the club’s home opener against the Saint John Mill Rats on Dec. 16.
