Aviation. “Salute the past, see the future,” might well be the theme for this year’s Classic Air Rallye, for the two aircraft featured are the World War II Lysander and the Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter.

Run by the non-profit Flightworks, the show, held Saturday and Sunday, is geared towards families and history and aviation buffs.

This year, the Classic Air Rallye commemorates a forgotten aircraft of the Second World War: the Westland Lysander.

Built in England and Canada, few Lysanders survived the war but amazingly, there will be three at this year’s show.
