RCMP going digital to unearth clues

B.C. RCMP are encouraging people to join them on Facebook and Twitter as Mounties find that virtual connections are helping solve real cases.

“We developed (these pages) so that we could engage more directly with you — the people we serve,” the?RCMP said in a release.

For example, a blind man reported missing last month was quickly found with help from Twitter users. The B.C. RCMP Twitter account has 2,400 followers.
