RCMP keep up search for missing Lower Sackville man

The Mounties say they’re still trying to track down a 48-year-old Lower Sackville man who went missing earlier this month.

“We’ve received some tips but we’re still trying to locate him,” Staff Sgt. Scott Warnica, watch commander for Halifax RCMP, told Metro late yesterday.

The RCMP started asking for the public’s help late last week after Bruce Weir’s family reported him missing Thursday night, however his whereabouts have been unknown since Aug. 16, when he was last seen leaving home at about 8 a.m.

Police say he could be driving a black 2002 GMC Envoy, with Nova Scotia licence plate DTM 853. Weir is described as a five-foot-nine white man between 180 and 190 pounds with brown hair.
