Ready to rumble

More than a month after a provincial election, things are a little quiet in the Alberta Legislature.
But all that will come to a close on Monday as provincial politicians are expected to rumble during the first sitting of the Legislature.
This is the first time politicians will sit since the election, and the first time Alberta Liberal Leader Kevin Taft will be sitting in a much smaller opposition.
The Liberals lost almost half of their seats in the March 3 vote, while Brian Mason’s NDP party has been reduced to two from four seats.
It’s expected the session will continue well after Finance Minister Iris Evans reads her budget speech, expected April 22.
