STOCKHOLM, Sweden – A Swedish Red Cross official says Israeli soldiers have deliberately attacked ambulances during the offensive in Gaza.
Christer Zettergren says seven ambulances operated by the Red Crescent were damaged last week in the attacks. He told reporters in Stockholm today that the ambulances were fired upon by Israeli soldiers.
Zettergren called the shootings “very deliberate.”
He will travel to the Middle East tomorrow to donate 10 ambulances to the Red Crescent.
The Swedish Red Cross and private broadcaster TV4 collected money for the vehicles in a joint fundraiser.
