Halifax police have issued a warning about the release of a dangerous convict.

Wayne Stanley Crawley, 55, has been released from prison after serving his full two-year sentence for
sexual assault.

Crawley has multiple previous convictions,
police say, including sex offences against children and adults dating back to the
1970s. He has been professionally assessed as a high risk to re-offend
in a sexual manner, a police release states.

Crawley is on a number of conditions, which are intended to prevent
him from having contact with children under the age of 16.

He is described as a
black male, 5'8, 180 pounds, bald with brown eyes.
