The federal and provincial governments have announced $21 million in funding for repairs and renovations to affordable housing across Nova Scotia.

An additional $11 million was also announced Saturday for the construction of new housing for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.

The funding will be divvied up between a number of communities — with $1.2 million going to renovate 50 units in Lower Sackville, $1.4 million for renovations in Dartmouth and more than $4 million to build 14 seniors’ duplexes in Syndey.
